Content Loaders
This tool is a web-based application for organizing, loading and updating the USDA data for a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) implementation.
Using a tree structure as a navigation bar, a user can browse trough the various foodgroups as organized by the US Department of Agriculture. After opening a folder, the list of food items in that group are displayed for review.
When the user clicks on an item name, the corresponding nutritional content information is made available, such as general information about this particular ingredient, as well as the complete list of ingredients and values.
Items selected by the checkboxes can be gathered and reviewed in the SELECTION tab. Once the user is satisfied with his/her section they can be downloaded into a PLM application.
